Software Recovery · Executive Intervention
Enterprise software implementation stuck between investment and go-live?
We get it moving — and into operation.
Independent executive intervention for ERP, CRM, supply chain and other enterprise implementations that should have been live by now.
Point at the problem, not each other.
- IndependentNo vendor, no platform, nothing to sell you.
- Executive levelWe work with the people who decide.
- 5–10 daysTo an independent Recovery Decision.
- Hands-onWe can stay and lead the recovery.
- TemporaryWe leave once it runs.
The problem
The money is spent. The system isn’t working.
Troubled implementations are rarely empty. Licences are paid. Configuration is done. Data has been migrated — possibly twice. There is a go-live date. There usually is. It just keeps moving.
Somewhere between investment and operation, delivery stopped producing results. Effort now goes into explaining the delay rather than ending it.
You may recognise some of this.
- The go-live date has moved more than once.
- User acceptance testing has no visible end.
- The issue list grows faster than it shrinks.
- Change requests and invoices are disputed.
- Users have quietly stopped believing in it.
- Management hears three explanations and trusts none of them.
Why the name
When delivery stops, fingers point.
Everyone has a version of events. Most of them are partly true. None of them gets the system live.
- Customer
The solution isn’t ready.
- Implementation partner
The requirements keep changing.
- Users
It doesn’t work for us.
- Project team
We’re waiting for decisions.
- Management
Why aren’t we live?
Point at the problem, not each other.
We aren’t brought in to decide who is to blame. We establish what is actually preventing delivery — and get the organisation moving again.
Software Recovery
Executive intervention for stalled enterprise implementations.
When an implementation is stuck between investment and go-live, another steering committee rarely changes the outcome.
We step in at executive level, establish independently what is preventing operation and — where recovery makes sense — lead it. Your existing team usually stays. The direction changes.
What we are not
- We don’t sell ERP — or any other software.
- We don’t sell a replacement system.
- We don’t arrive with an army of consultants.
- We don’t automatically replace your implementation partner.
- We’re not another layer of project management.
How recovery works
A short route from disagreement to operation.
It starts with a confidential conversation. After that, five steps.
Assess
An independent view of what is really blocking operation. Normally 5–10 working days.
Decide
A clear Recovery Decision for management: recover, restructure, replace or stop.
Intervene
Where recovery is viable, we lead it — across customer, partner, vendor and users.
Go live
The objective is an operational system, not a better project plan.
Stabilise & exit
Once it runs and your organisation can carry it, we leave.
What we work with
Platform-independent. Problem-specific.
We work with whatever you bought and whoever is building it. The reasons implementations stall are remarkably similar across platforms.
- ERPFinance, operations, manufacturing
- CRMSales, service, customer data
- Supply ChainPlanning, procurement, logistics
- WMSWarehousing and fulfilment
- Industry SolutionsSector-specific platforms
- Integration PlatformsThe connections between everything else
- AI ImplementationsModels that need to become processes

Technology only creates value once it’s operational.
That is the thread through everything we do.
Implemented AI
From AI potential to operational capability.
Plenty of organisations have an AI strategy, several experiments and a proof of concept that impressed everyone in the demo. Far fewer have AI running inside a real process, owned by the business, with a measurable result. Implemented AI is about that last mile.

Where we work
Why Pointing Fingers
Built from a pattern, not a methodology.
Pointing Fingers grew out of something seen again and again over three decades of entrepreneurship, enterprise software, international technology delivery and business turnaround: when companies and customer relationships get into trouble, a delivery problem is often sitting near the centre.
Underneath the conflict there is usually still an organisation that needs the thing to work. Getting it to work is the job.
Founded by Andreas Grooters — entrepreneur, software company founder and turnaround operator, with some thirty years across business, commercial, product and delivery.
